Alex Whorms is a piano-pop artist and winner of the 2019 Hamilton Arts Award for Emerging Artist in Music. Frequently compared to Sara Bareilles and Carole King, she writes catchy, memorable tunes inspired by her life experiences as a young Canadian artist.

Whorms' latest single, "Sunset", debuted on CBC Radio One's "In The Key of C" radio show and was praised for "real, honest purity" in the CBC article "3 new Ontario songs you need to hear this week" (March 2, 2019).

This follows the success of her 2017 "Our Lives" EP, which charted on North American community radio shows including 93.3 FM CFMU Top 20 [“Jones”, “People In Love”, “Naturally”], I Heart Hamilton Top 5 [“Jones”], and 93.1 FM WRUW (Cleveland) ["Jones"].

Whorms has performed over 100 concerts since 2017, including a sold out showcase at Canadian Music Week 2019, two tour stops in New York City and a career highlight as an opening act for Tom Cochrane at Hamilton's 2018 Festival of Friends.

“Alex’s organic approach to music…is hugely refreshing” – Amy King, Recording Engineer at Grant Avenue Studio
